Peek, Frean & Co. was one of Victorian Britain's most celebrated biscuit manufacturers, and their trade catalogues and advertising ephemera were mass-produced tools to promote their products to retailers and consumers during the height of chromolithographic printing in the 1880s–1890s. These booklets survive today because they were handed out at shops, markets, and through the post, often tucked into household collections or preserved by descendants—making them common but collectible fragments of everyday commercial life.

Condition is paramount — foxing, creasing, or separation at the fold reduces value significantly; intact chromolithographic color, the Royal Appointment mention, and the specific product imagery (Oswego biscuit box) make this more desirable to ephemera and food history collectors.
