Collectible
1980s · Topps Company
Estimated value: $1.50–$2.50
Garbage Pail Kids sticker cards exploded in popularity during the mid-1980s as irreverent parodies of popular culture, celebrities, and American institutions—designed to offend and amuse children and collectors in equal measure. Topps released Series 6 in 1986–1987 at the height of the craze, when GPK cards were ubiquitous in schoolyards, traded obsessively, and occasionally banned by concerned parents.
Value depends heavily on condition (centering, corners, surface), whether it retains the peel-back sticker intact, and if it is a true Series 6 original versus a reprint; near-mint examples command the higher end.
