1980s · Topps Chewing Gum, Inc., Duryea, PA
Estimated value: $4.99–$10.00
Garbage Pail Kids exploded into mainstream pop culture in 1985–86, becoming one of the most controversial and collectible trading card phenomena of the 1980s. Topps released Series 5 in 1986 at the height of the craze, selling millions of 25-cent packs to kids, parents, and speculators who saw these irreverent sticker cards as potential investments.
Condition is the primary value driver — this wrapper shows creasing and wear, which reduces value; flat, unfolded wrappers in near-mint condition command significantly higher prices from wrapper collectors.
