The message is brief and cryptic, suggesting a personal reassurance between two women — the writer (M.W.) consoling the recipient (Dortha) about something concerning a 'Mr. W.' The card was published by Rosin & Co. of Philadelphia and New York, printed in Germany, which was the dominant postcard printing center of the era. Jacksonville was a booming Southern city in 1905, rebuilding rapidly after the catastrophic 1901 fire.
